Then there is also the Rolls 2006 which also has a home made frame and swingarm. This model has a Rover V8 3900 cc engine with 200 hp on tap @ 325 nm torque. Transmission again is One speed The front wheel is slightly bigger at 3.50 x 18 (120 / 70 - 18) to support the bigger engine and so are the brakes with Double 4 piston calipers, (with a slight smaller) 11,5" discs. The rear wheel is of the same size, but the overall weight has been reduced by 10 kgs at 340 kg, with the inputs and improvements coming over the 2 years in learning. Wheel Base had to be elongated somewhat from the 2004 model at 1710 mm and so was the seat height increased to 620 mm. Top speed is similar at 200 km/h / 5700 rpm.
Well, get a load of the Swedish version of Boss Hoss. No, not literally, but practically! Swedish custom motorcycle firm, Rolls V8, believes on the same vision of their non-related overseas brother of chunking car engines into motorcycles. But not just any car engine, it has to be a V8. Okay, now that's clear, lets move on. What is really impressive is the overall look these bikes have, it doesn't look large or huge and yet the mosnter is inside and the overall look is so fine, just like a normal cruiser-road mixture street bike.
The FLATBOY
Among the bike up for grabs, there is the FLATBOY which has 2 models. One houses a 1937 FORD V8-60 displacing 2260cc and a 1957 SIMCA V8-85 displacing 2351cc. While the former has 60 hp @4200rpm and 94Nm of torque and a compression ratio of 6.6:1, the latter has 70 hp @4,600 rpm and a torque of 106 Nm @ of a lazy 2600rpm and a compression ratio of 7.2:1
